Announcement of the first CAA GR conference (CAA GR 2014)

CAA GR announces the first “Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology” (CAA GR 2014) conference that will take place at the Institute of Mediterranean Studies at Rethymno, Crete between Friday 7  and Saturday 8 March 2014.

The organising committee of CAA GR 2014 will soon invite contributions that fall within the following research areas:

  1. Field and laboratory data recording
  2. Data modelling, management and integration
  3. Linked data and the semantic web
  4. Data analysis and visualisation
  5. 3D modelling, visualisation and simulations
  6. Spatio-temporal modelling, GIS and remote sensing
  7. Users and interfaces: education, museums and multimedia
  8. Theoretical issues on the use of computer applications in archaeology
  9. Digital Cities, cultural heritage interpretation and modelling of the past.  

The conference proceedings will be published in the form of e-publication (with ISBN) and will become available on-line through our web-site soon after the end of the conference.

The call for papers and additional information on CAA GR 2014 will be published on our website in September 2013.
