As a CAA-GR member your privacy is important to us and we are committed to being transparent about how we use your personal information and how we keep it safe. This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand what is personal information, what personal information CAA-GR collects, uses, shares, stores and secures about you and how to control your personal information held by CAA-GR. This Privacy Policy covers the information CAA-GR collects about you when you become a member. ‘CAA-GR’ refers to the Greek chapter of the international non-profit organization ‘Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology’. ‘Services’ refers to all services that CAA-GR offers, including the CAA-GR mailing list and subscription to the CAA-GR news. ‘Web Site’ refers to the CAA-GR web site at the address https://gr.caa-international.org. ‘Data Protection Officer’ is appointed by the CAA-GR Board to access and use your personal information.

Personal information CAA-GR collects about you
CAA-GR collects information about you when you register to become a member, or when you update your membership details. This may include your name(s) (mandatory), address, telephone number, profession, organization and email (mandatory). For non-registered users that have subscribed to CAA-GR news notifications by email, we only hold email information.
CAA-GR use cookies to collect usage data and to ensure that our Site functions as intended. In particular, we use Google Analytics to analyse the use of the Site. For further information see Google’s privacy policy, available at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
CAA-GR does not use widgets and social media features on its Web Site (such as a Twitter “tweet” button) that collect information about you. Should this policy change in future, information about such use will be provided.
How CAA-GR uses the personal information it collects about you

CAA-GR uses the personal information that you provided to operate and maintain CAA-GR’s Services. Personal information required to provide our Services is retained in perpetuity for the purposes of maintaining your membership history, unless requested otherwise.

CAA-GR uses the personal information you have provide to CAA-GR to communicate with you about our Services via email, including sending you notifications, security alerts, and administrative messages related to our Services.
To promote and drive engagement with our Services
CAA-GR may communicate with you to provide updates, newsletters and other promotional communications related to our services. CAA-GR will only communicate with you this way if you have provided your consent. You can opt-out of these communications at any time. Personal information provided with your consent for this purpose will be retained for as long as CAA-GR provides the Services or until you request otherwise.

How CAA-GR shares the personal information it collects about you
How CAA-GR do not share your personal information with any third party organisation. CAA-GR Web Site may include links that direct you to other web sites or services whose privacy practices may differ from ours. How CAA-GR stores and secures your personal information
The CAA-GR Web Site is hosted on servers of the CAA International. Information you enter in the Web Site’s registration or contact forms is transmitted to CAA-GR using the HTTPS protocol. No other personal information is collected or stored from the CAA-GR Web Site.
Your personal information is stored by CAA-GR in a password protected database, which is only accessible to Data Managers.
How to control your personal information held by CAA-GR
You have the right to request a copy of your information, to object to our use of your information (including for marketing purposes), to request the deletion or restriction of your information, or to request your information in a structured, electronic format. You can exercise these choices by sending a respective request by email to info@gr.caa-international.org.
Opt out of communications
You may opt out of receiving news from CAA-GR (mainly through the mailing list of CAA-GR) by contacting info@gr.caa-international.orgorg. Please note, however, that you will still continue to receive transactional messages from CAA-GR regarding provision of our Services, after you opt out from receiving news messages.
Deactivate your membership
If you no longer wish to use our Services and be member of CAA-GR, please contact info@gr.caa-international.org. Please be aware that deactivating your membership may not delete your information; your information may remain visible to CAA-GR Data Managers.
Delete your information
If, in addition to deactivating your membership, you also want CAA-GR to delete your personal information, please contact info@gr.caa-international.org.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
CAA-GR keeps this Privacy Policy under regular review and it may change from time to time. We will indicate any changes and clearly state the date of last update to this Privacy Policy on this page. Any significant changes will be prominently indicated on our Web Site.
